Description
The JetSpeed FT380 skate is a mid level skate in the 2017 JetSpeed family from CCM. These are composed and engineered with premium composite materials using a 3D-lasted process to create an extremely comfortable out-of-the-box fit with high definition heel lock and proper forefoot wrap. The FT380’s will feature a tapered fit to provide players with a close fit around the foot. With some of CCM’s high quality materials and super heat-moldable properties, the FT380’s provide a responsive and personalized fit that was designed for maximized speed.
Like the FT390’s, the FT380’s will feature a traditional 2-piece build constructed with RocketFrame technology; a stiff 3D-lasted carbon composite boot frame that sits atop a lightweight TPU injected outsole. Composing the core and giving these their heat molding abilities is the SpeedCore 2, first seen in last year’s flagship model, the JetSpeeds. This is a lightweight and rigid core that boasts great heat molding characteristics to generate excellent performance and a customized fit.
To round out the rest of the boot, key secondary features include TotalDri Liner, a high performance material that wicks away moisture very quickly keeping skates and feet dry and light. For durability purposes, abrasion patches were added to the liner where the eyelets are found and CCM’s smooth contour pro soft comfort padding is found around the collar of the skate for excellent foot and ankle comfort.
Moving to the tongue, CCM used a 7mm felt tongue complete with reinforcement layers for increased comfort and protection around the top of the foot and high ankle area. This tongue will also have an embossed lace bite protector to further add to the comfort of the skate.
